Hi MeLAR, nah I got Mrs monsenb1 in the GNR through the ballot, but it looks like she might not want to do it this year. Congrats Lisa T and CC, CC thats quite a chunk off your previous HM PB, well done!

Thanks, yes, it was 5 minutes faster. Think the course helped & the only other half I've done is GNR which is really crowded, I think having plenty of room helped

It seemed plenty crowded to me but that's because I'm used to fell races where there's more sheep than runners! Is anyone doing Raby Castle 10k? Muddy & I are running that one next. |

I'll look out for you CC. Has everyone seen the email from the Events of the North people? There's been lots of speculation over the race distance of the Half Marathon of the North but it looks like they actually did potentially cock it up! A change to the start, meant an alteration later on to account for the extra 0.18m. Apparently, it may be the case that most of us werent sent the correct way. So, I may not have a PB. Infact I may not have run a half at all! Not happy I would be fine adding something on to my time and me not hitting my sub 1:50 target but I'm guessing that's not a possibility & it will just become a non PB course if it's correct. Properly gutted!

I just had an email Lisa. I did suspect the course was a little short, it is very disheartening. I got a PB by 5 minutes so I know it would have been a PB even if it had been another 0.18 miles but I feel so disappointed. I ran my best ever race that day & put alot of effort in. I think alot of people will be gutted when they get that email.

Yeah, I feel exactly the same CC. I've never run one before, so anything to me is a PB but no time at all would just be gutting. All my training has been focused on it this year! There'll be a lot of people after Mr Cram!
