Both postal and online entry forms are now available for the 2013 Gibside Fruit Bowl Trail Race. This race is on the same day as the Bridlington Half and the inaugural Yorkshire Marathon. There are more details on my web site: northeastraces.com

I've never run the actual race either..ran athe course for charity and another T Shirt will always come in handy..but will it be strapless so as not to interfere with the tan 😜

When I lived in Washington, on about three occasions I walked to work which was in Durham. This epic trip (14 miles? and starting at about 5a.m.) mainly used public rights of way. It went via Fatfield Bridge, Biddick Hall, New Lambton, Lumley Thicks, Great Lumley, Finchale Priory, Durham Prison, Frankland Farm and Durham Sewage Works. The early part of the route was considerably restricted in its choice because of the Lambton Park. This large Park looked extremely wonderful but the grounds are private and I always wanted to explore them. So if I were still in the North East, I'd loved to do the Lambton Challenge. Barry, thanks for that info about Lambton, I am very tempted to do that one but I am hesitating because of a big race the day before
