Ha'way Hammy. I hope I get to say the same at Blyth. Although I'm currently edging on a very early night as I'm shattered from a weekend racing and clearing out rubbish. I came v close to nodding off at work today (old lady - nana naps)

I run a beginners group who have just got to 5K and are now asking about 10K races later in the year. Having avoided 10K races for years which do you think are beginner friendly? I was thinking Raby Castle ?too hilly or Darlington but other suggestions are more than welcome

Newton Aycliffe. It has a couple of drags but no real hills. Got my PB there last year. Tees Barrage is also ok. Can get a bit windy but a decent enough course.
Or what about Hellhole! ;-)

Hope to see some of you at Hartlepool on Sunday. My hometown, though its a long way for me these days. Looks like conditions should be good..

I plan on getting them to do the hellhole Lisa but they'll want to do one before that. I'll suggest the Tees ones, I think support might be an important factor with it being their first. They aren't scared of hills as I've got them running round Durham and you can't really do any decent distance without dying of boredom without adding hills.

I enjoyed the gateshead 10k last year, especially the finish in the stadium!

Aw, fab. It'd be great if we could increase numbers for Hellhole. Yep, I'd be a fairly short route round these parts without hills!!
I'm not running Hartlepool this year but love that race. It was my first one. I was also brought up in Hartlepool BrianJ.
