Captain Cooks is a good one for a first one. You'd have to wait until New Years Day for it though! I've not got lost yet, but there's plenty time for that!

thanks Lisa :) this is the one you mentioned did an ultra distance? I might have a look at it and see how far away it is, might be tempted, by the cake if nothing else, lol.

Captain cooks was my first fell race, a great event. I just followed the people ahead of me, its tough, but they all are :)

Aw yeah you ran a cracking race at Captain Cooks HB. Slightly ahead of me! :-)

GG, there is a 17m, 26m or 33m. I'm doing the 17m (it is actually more like 18 though!) Jason is doing the 26 mile. So who knows what will happen to me when we split up at 7 miles or so for his extra loop. I'm sure I'll get back eventually!

Might keep it on next years to do list, not sure I'd manage 17m then week later do Northumberland coastal run

I made a token effort on the Blaydon site then gave up. I didn't actually enjoy the downpour last year very much and there is a triathlon on that afternoon which I fancy anyway.

At 11.50pm tonight (Monday), the Blaydon Race web site said "The remaining online entry forms have now been released to allow those working late shifts a chance to enter online". You can attempt to enter online at sendentry.com
