Flip - do you have to have any major navigation skills for the Osmotherley 26.2? I;d like to do it but my navigation is not great.

Hi Jovi - The course is apparently going to be marked. The route is drawn on to OS map pages on the Hardmoors website so it can printed on to paper from there. Another alternative is to download the route onto your Garmin if you have one. I have drawn the marathon route at http://www.fetcheveryone.com/routes-view.php?id=1176605 and the half marathon route at http://www.fetcheveryone.com/routes-view.php?id=1195735 On the right of each of those routes it shows you how to download those routes to a Garmin |

Thanks Lisrun - am very tempted to do it if its marked. I think these are the same guys who organised the Frostbiute 30 I did ion December and that was marked brilliantly so if that was anything to go by there shoudlnt be any risk of getting lost (famous last words!). Are you doing Osmotherley?

Jovi I don't think it is the same organisers as the Frostbite 30. The Osmotherley 26.2 is one of the new Hardmoors Trail series hardmoors110.org.uk Yes, I hoping to do the marathon event

Here's a reminder that online entry for the 2013 Blaydon Race takes place tomorrow (Monday). Online entry will be in four batches that will open at 2pm, 4pm, 6pm and 8pm with 500 entries in each batch. Important: some "entry notes" are given on a Blaydon Race web page: blaydonrace.co.uk I suggest you read this before tomorrow! It seems that, as in previous years, online entry for the 2013 Blaydon Race will be handled by sendentry.com You will also be able to download the postal form tomorrow. In 2012, the 2000 limit for postal entries was reached in 3 days. The Blaydon Race is a 5.7M race for 4000 runners. It goes from Newcastle to Blaydon and it takes place every year on June 9th which this year is on a Sunday. The race is scheduled to start at 3pm. |

Jovi , lisrun is correct ,it's hardmoors putting on the osmotherly marathon . it will be fully marked as the rd and I along with some other marshals will be marking it the day before .

fluff and botheration..... got an online entry for Blaydon entered all my details told me going to next step meant I was in agreement with the T&Cs but..... NO NEXT STEP BUTTON :(:(:( now it wont give me an entry form so guessing round 1 is out the window. Hope others have had more luck |

The same thing happened to me GG! No entry button after I'd filled it out and it said 'you don't have to fill it out right now - you have an hour and the form is reserved for you'???
