Lisrun has just mentioned to me that the Yorkshire Marathon is full. It reached its limit of 5500 yesterday afternoon. That's just 3 days.

He mentions that they are seeking to expand it up to 6000 and they are encouraging people to register on their waiting list.

Here's a reminder that the Northumberland Coastal Run opens just after midnight tonight. In 2012, it was full by 11a.m. on Sunday. If you wish to use the bus before the race (from Alnmouth to the start), you must book this when you enter the race: it's an extra £3. Question is can I do it? I worry that it is a very hard run and while I could finish it (I'm sure) how long it would take is the big question? I have done Hawkshead so not scared if big hills!
