Yeah, boo the lot of them. Raaaaarr. Ask for a refund or a free entry into next years' 10k. To not reply isn't good enough even if they have kindly volunteered to help at these events.

>>The same thing happened with the Elswick Cup

One of my pals queried his time from the Elswick Cup (backed up by his Garmin data) and had a reply saying something along the lines of "the timekeeper has vast experience and we trust the results". :) Bonkers.

I'd left a reply for Heaton regarding the 10k on their FB page. I'm not arsed about my time as I'm way short of fitness but thought it may help them get it sorted.

Yeah Muddy queried his Elswick cup results too & got a similar reply. It's not necessarily the timekeeper that's out though I guess, it could be the way they've cross referenced the times & numbers maybe. Whatever it is though, with so many queries they really need to do something. I think it's bad if they don't.

I've stuck a message on facebook too. There are plenty of other small local races that get your results right, post them online and even some that offer water and a goody bag at the end.

I can't say I'd recommend this one as a PB potential race anymore.

Yep, I won't be running any races organised by heaton harriers anymore. I'm sure they'll be gutted! ;-)

Just realised that the Blyth Sands 5m race is on next Sunday, 4 December and I haven't done that race for 6 years :-o

Nobody else appears to be doing it as I had to enter the race details. There are very few handicap races about (the handicap is by age and gender) and this is a great little race, though it does get a bit chilly waiting for your start and you are likely to get your feet a bit wet :-)

The Heaton Harriers 10k results have been updated: heatonharriers.org.uk
Not sure how far they correct other people's times, but I do now appear on the results :-)
