I've been sent the following list of dates and times from one of the Run Northumberland organisers:

Run Northumberland Half Marathon  - 25th March 2012  (9.30am)
Run Northumberland Cragside 10k  - Sat 14th April 2012 (9.30am)
Run Northumberland Bamburgh 10k - Sun 17th June 2012 (10am)
Run Northumberland Wallington 10k - Sun 9th Sept 2012 (10am)
Run Northumberland Matfen 5k & 10k - Sun 14th Oct 2012  (9.45am)

Currently, you can only enter the Half Marathon. I'll add more details to northeastraces.com when they become available.

The last race is new: Matfen is a village in South Northumberland that is in the valley of the River Pont. It is about 4K north of Hadrian's Wall, about 5K from the A68 and about 7K from the A69.

LESS THAN TWO DAYS TO GO.

Last week, York Knavesmire Harriers announced that entries into January 22nd's Brass Monkey Half Marathon will open at 1000 on Wednesday (October 26th). Last year, it took only 6 hours for the race to become full. I will update northeastraces.com with a link to the entry form when entries become available.

The Brass Monkey Half Marathon is a fast, flat and rural 13.1M race from the racecourse that is in the southern suburbs of York.

Is anybody doing the Town Moor 10K? Is it fast and flat? Good for a PB attempt?

I'm doing the Gibside and the Town Moor 10k. The Gibside is not flat and the Town moor 10k is pretty flat and avoids the big hills. I'm hoping for a PB attempt too

If the wind stays off, the Town Moor is a good course for a PB.

Gibside is class, but still not sure if I'm running either at the moment.

Brass Monkey has opened early. As of 0845, 340 had entered and by 0900 452 had entered. I think the limit for the race is 1999.
