Flyswatter: re the Powerade sessions they did them 2 years ago in a joint sponsorship thing with Nike. 6 Sunday or Saturday events. 1st at Exh Park the rest you met at Start Fitness and then went out and did something different each week.All started with warm-up and finished with a warm-down. Some weeks it was intervals, some weeks a hill run, some weeks fartlek. They were good if you weren't in a club. After attending 4 you got a Race Ready t-shirt and a pass to the Nike tent after GNR for cake and massage.
Last year the recession clearly hit as there was a one off timed run at S Shields and that was it really.
It looks a bit more comprehensive this year

I'm still not 100% and wont be up to running, so if anyone wanst a number for Newburn River Run 6.5 miles Wed June 22 let me know :-)

Aww MeLAR get well soon. I will do Newburn one day, but I have a 10k on 26 June, so better save my legs for that.
