Sounds like there was a balls up at the Druridge Bay 10k yesterday as well. The last 84 runners/walkers had no times recorded due to a "technical problem". At least this year the winner (Ian Harding) wasn't sent the wrong way like he was last year. He only won the race by just over 2 minutes this year!

Saw that too Dockie. Was an otherwise well organised event at Druridge. Don't know how but I ended up with a ? next to my number (where my name should be) on the race results page on the website. I let them know this morning, but am still ......a mystery runner. Hope they got my payment ok!!!

For anyone who uses the Runbritain Rankings, the Nissan 10k results aren't appearing on there (and presumably on The Power Of 10 too). I submitted a link to the race info and results and got a reply saying results couldn't be included because of the licence.

So no "official" PB for many including me. Always next time. ;)

Fair do's mind, I'd just been waiting for my runbritain handicap to drop a bit. ;)

I think it has been officially measured so it is a PB race, just not recognised by runbritain..

I ran liverpool half marathon this year which is an officially measured race too (and got a PB)...however its not listed in the rankings either, although it was last year..just a little politics by runbritain for race organisers to pay for their licences.

There was a discussion on fetch earlier this year about this but I cant find the thread.

flyswatter looking back on the Liverpool half discussion on RWyou are probably right..however both the Nissan 10K and Liverpool half were properly measured. I dont run for a club although I do have rankings on run britain web site. Nevertheless, I will be taking both as PBs.

Yeah, I'll still be taking mine as a PB I just like seeing the runbritain handicaps move a bit.

Thinking of running the 10k at Newton Aycliffe on the 19th - anyone ran there before, what's it like? Thanks.

Newton Aycliffe 10K is a lap course - well organised, but a bit undulating and traditionally run in sweltering heat:) Well worth doing though - marshalled well, roads closed.
