triathlons will help your running no end, they have certainly helped mine. Last year I would never have thought I could do a sub 50 10k, I'm now gutted I missed sub 45 by 8 seconds at Blyth!

having a foot test few days that started with the maske 10k today . bit worse for ware this morning . race not really my cup of tea but a good run out . very flat course and nice finish on links . way off pb pace but no more than expected and its just great to start running again anyway . anniversary waltz tomorrow , 11 mile 3600 ascent . I doubt ill win

Hello Him, yep i was over . Foggy wasn't it ! Had a chat with Rorie before hand. He is still thinking about entering HM and of course i did my usual persuading. Also bumped into sharon Gaytor fresh from her 6 day ultra world record and she's leaning towards entering. If you fancy keilder there is another keilder water marathon run by the north east marathon club.It's a lot cheaper ....- It's free in fact if enter if you join the club which costs £12-00. We put on others marathons such as Durridge bay , Northumberland coastal marathon ( the best marathon in the uk) Town moor marathon. It's a sub club of the 100 marathon club. They are a bit 26.2 obsessed but the marathons we do are canny. I'm sure one down your way would appeal if you fancy loking for a good route. the criteria is few road crossing and easy to marshal. We are looking to hold one in county durham as well. Just wondering if any of you have done the Durham Tri club monthly duathlons?? Seeing as I'm cycling lots & running not a lot, I thought I may try one of those later in the year.

ive done it once lisa and intend doing more now im running a bit . I have nothing but praise for them . cheap (£3) and informal , nice run and the bike route starting and finishing from a road section closed off traffic. im going to do some of the derwent. cycle club TT s around derwent reservoir on a tuesday eve as well . They look good .

Thanks Flip. I'll def give that a go. Will wait till Muddy gets his new road bike for me to borrow before I attempt any TT's though I think. Might be a bit slow on my hybrid!
