Do you know when this is, RMO3B? It's a very flat fast course i seem to recall. Some narrow bits but it is fast.

It's flat-ish but the organisation is chaotic at best. The NSPCC half marathon later on in the year is far better organised, much friendlier.

I've done this two years on the trot. The first year I hated it. The second year it was one of the best races I've ever done, 1:56 1/2 giving me a pee bee of about 4 minutes :-) Organisation was far better this year than in 2010, where the race start was delayed for about 20 minutes making me desperate for a pee the whole way round :-/

I would say that the majority of the course is more slightly downhill than flat. The only real tough bit is that the last km or two is uphill and is a bit of a strain on the legs, especially when you get to the road bridge you have to cross. Fantastic PB potential in my opinion.

I'd rather run this one that the NSPCC one in July to be honest, purley because the weather is always fairly cold for the Nike race and I run better in the cold that I do in the baking hot middle of summer.

The Nike one will be the club championship one RMO3B. The NSPCC one is more of a charity do.
