Anybody else putting in for it? I've put in for a qualifying time entry based on a half marathon. I gather it's first come first served for the 'non-NYRR qualifiers' so I was on the website at 17:00 GMT on the dot when entries opened and after about 30 mins in a queue, was able to submit.

Now I gather it's a few weeks before I find out if I'm accepted!! Fingers xd as we are planning a family holiday in October half term to incorporate it and I want to get flights booked!!

Mine got stuck whilst they worked through the backlog in 2018:

15 Jan: I applied on back of an Abingdon qualifying time.
02 Feb: I asked if all was OK, as my status hadn't moved from 'Time Verification Pending'.
02 Feb: Was advised 'We are delayed more than usual due to high volume of applicants'.
24 Feb: I asked why my status was now 'In Drawing' - was there a problem with my time evidence?
26 Feb: Got word that I'd been accepted on strength of my qualifying time.

Hopefully the process is a bit quicker and smoother for you Clare!

My acceptance was 4 February in 2017 when I submitted a time qualifier. Hopefully you should be fine since you entered right away, Clare, but in any case good luck.

I missed the slot - mind clearly not on it following recent injury.

Never mind. Abingdon / New York, little difference!!

I'm sure you'll have great fun Clare. Enjoy!

Applied through the ballot last year, and got a place for last November.

Yes, going to have another go, as was such an incredible experience.

I seemed to have inspired a non running friend to apply too :)

I'm in the ballot for this year, but if I get in, I'll have to remortgage my house, what with already being in Chicago 2020.
