That would be disappointing, Clydesdale. I hope you do not have to cancel. Have you looked into the possibility of landing further inland, Pittsburgh for example, and renting a car?

I'm hoping yet that we might be able to get an earlier flight. BA are still saying that they will fly from London on Wednesday. We'll see.

Is this race going ahead as normal? Good luck to anyone flying to New York this week.

We did this last year. It was great. Several brits at the start were wearing those fleecy all in ones from Primark over their race kit to keep warm.

As of now, the race is still on for Sunday, but the official website has no update since 10:00 AM this morning, and the Facebook page is equally quiet.

Reading the comments on that article controversial, the majority think the marathon should be cancelled. Unfortunately NYRR have gone completely silent on everyone who has paid their fee, booked flights, hotels, insurance, transfers etc etc and now doesn't know what to do. Oh, except pay the whole lot again to defer to next year. I have huge sympathy for New York and want to do what's best for them. Someone please tell me what that is.

Quite the moral dilemma. The comments on that article are very mixed and people clearly feeling strongly about it on both sides of the argument.
