Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch
or for an ad-free Fetcheveryone experience!

At present I have a Forerunner 35 and thinking I want an upgrade.

I'm not heavily into training so just looking to log my exercise .

What would best to move up to?

TIA

I guess it depends on what features you want, assuming you plan to stay with Garmin. My gripe about their latest watches is that they're overloaded with features I don't want but the entry level ones are missing a couple that I do want. I really don't care about a relaxation reminder or weather forecast. When I last upgraded I went for the 245, specifically for the virtual partner and the Connect IQ feature. But 90% of the doodahs and gadgets on the thing I've never touched.

They're also becoming rather expensive.

But anyway, this is a comparison of the 45 and 255. They're doubtless available cheaper elsewhere.

Thanks Mutley I will have a look. I get up to 40% discount with my Blue Light so not too bad.

40% off with the Blue Light card? That's worth knowing now Mrs Nellers has one.

Why upgrade if all you want to do is log and your current watch does that?

Garmin thread is probably the best place to get advice but as Muttley says it depends what you want and based on what you've said, it seems you should just stick with what you have.

Probably worth speaking to Garmin although I don't think they'll match your 40% discount at blue light. They gave me 30% off any Garmin Forerunner when my 230 stopped working.

I have a 45 which I'm very happy with. Not too ugly to look at either.
