Yep, looking at the long range forecast and I'm shelving any thoughts of a PB :-)

Hello, are the road trainers enough for this race? I recall somebody classing this race as off-road but from the organisers description it didn't much sound like it. In any case, very much looking forward to it (my first time in New Forest), I heard lots of nice things about this race :).

If you mean road vs trailshoes, I'll be in road.

Yes, I meant do I need off-road (trail shoes) or road ones. The description said a bit of tarmac and lots of gravelly forest trail - I did think the road shoes should be sufficient.

Definitely road shoes. The trails are hard and stony and very hot underfoot. Also some road, so wear cushioned trainers and not racing flats which would be too thin underfoot.

There may be the occasional ponies crossing the trails, so be aware.

Looking like we might get the better of the weekend though, running weather wise. Mate is doing a triathlon tomorrow and it looks like it'll be even hotter than Sunday.

Racers for me. Love this one, mainly flat with a few rolls. Weather ideal for me and shall be nads out. :)
