Mutli-day Ultra Recovery Fuel

mblnFERCrI've got a 3 day ultra coming up soon, 48, 37, and 10+4+10 miles for the three days. I've been mulling over for a while how best to eat for recovery between days. I have a loose plan, but wondered if anyone had first hand experience, or recommendations....
Should I be trying to replace the calorie deficit for the day, or eating for the next day? Or eating for the next day, and covering the calorie deficit? I've read that the body can absorb around 300 kcal per hour (at least while exercising at a moderate rate), so no point exceeding that, or is this higher at rest?
