I did this last year, they just had the 2nd running of the event last week.

4 marathons in 4 days around the "Inishowen 100" route in Donegal. Each marathon is different, point to point and just about as scenic as it gets (read in to that hilly) but stunningly beautiful (its all on road but goes through some amazing areas), friendly and really well organized. It's a small event so you'd need to be OK with running alone (there are lots signs, lots of marshals and race cars zooming up and down though).

Tour of Fife was really good. That an an uphill time trial. You started in pairs, but were put with someone nowhere near you in the over all standings so the chances were that you'd be on your own for most of it.

Here's another that comes to mind.

I remember some multi-day races on TV several years back organised by Brendan Foster IIRC

There was also a race around Britain, not quite what it sounds like but a series of races around 10 miles per day which I remember Paul Evans either winning or being second.

I spoke to Paul Evans earlier this evening and it was the Sun Life Tour of Britain and it consisted of 17 stages.

Got something to say?
