Had my injection on Monday so hopefully after two weeks rest I can get back to a bit of running. I don't know if the doc was especially skilled but the injection was painless - I'd been led to believe it would be 'bite the bullet' time.

Been injured since VLM so its taken a while and with a new baby here now will be great to get out and about.

Happy healing to fellow sufferers :-)

Well done A, mine have worked for a substantial amount of time in one foot, little less long in the other, but hey-ho. Hopefully you'll be ready for next VLM. ;)

Thanks C & C - Had the injection on Monday and told no exercise for two weeks but as a retail manager i'm on my feet all day so no proper rest. I still have pain in the ball of my right foot and a little burning sensation in my middle toe. Is six days long enough to show improvement or has it failed do you think?
I have a follow up phone call from the Doc scheduled for five weeks time but I think if still pain after two weeks will assume failure and give him a call to see where we go from here.

I was allowed to run 4 days after my injection, do you know why they've said 2 weeks?

That's what it said on the general letter i received for aftercare listing possible side effects, symptom and advice. I feel that I could run now but don't want to hinder any recovery by running too soon.

How's it now for you a? I felt a difference nearly straight after the injections, so you not feeling much difference after those days worries me. Hope it's been a bit of a slow response for you and that by now you're running around painless. :)

Hi JBC - Went for my first run this morning so time will tell. There's no acute pain as such just a 'not quite rightness' if you see what I mean.

Onwards and upwards as they say! :-)

I know exactly what you mean, don't go on like that for too long though! Good news that you're back up and running again, onwards & upwards indeed, just hope that "not quite rightness" will go too. :)
