Just received lots of ladybirds & larvae to combat aphids on the roses. And realised that one of my roses is looking distinctly unhealthy; think I'll have to cut it back and hope. Saw turmeric recommended as an anti-fungal to put on the cut stem, I guess it can't do any harm!
rf_fozzy Jun 2021 4:18pm, 11 Jun 2021 14,715 posts	0 rf_fozzy I've got a hardy geranium (ballerina) that I stuck in the ground a few weeks ago - it initially had some (small) growth, but that all seems to have died. It's possible (looking on GW - https://www.gardenersworld.com/plants/geranium-cinereum-ballerina/) that I've overwatered it. Hopefully I've not killed it - what's the best plan? I've repotted it in a bigger pot and left it in the greenhouse at the moment
alpenrose Jun 2021 6:10pm, 11 Jun 2021 51,086 posts	0 alpenrose I'd leave it outside, not in the greenhouse now. Those kind of geraniums often disappear and then pop up again when your not looking, so all may not be lost.

There was a big flush of dandelions, which then all turned to clocks (no doubt my garden will have received a fair share of the seeds); lots of pretty long grasses blowing in the breezes, some tall reddish spikes (sorrel flowers?) and now a whole lot of bright scarlet/orange flowers which I know well as thugs, and which will shortly turn to more fluffy seeds. Also a big patch of buttercups.
