Oh and get 50/50 annuals and perennials! I have 3 packets of seed: annual mix, perennial mix, extra yellow rattle. I used a special pollinator mix, which I recommend in a garden setting! More fun for you and the pollinators. |

For the last few years we've barely seen any birds in the garden - and the lady next door but one has had 10 cats (peaked at 18 in a terrace with a small back yard). She moved (along with her cats) two or three weeks ago, and first thing this morning I noticed sparrows darting in and out of the hedge at the bottom of the garden, and then when I just went to make a drink there was a bullfinch on our patio furniture I must dig out our abandoned bird feeders and stock up... |

Cats, they are all wildlife killing bastards, although their owners are, my little kitty doesn't, ohbyes it flipping does...4 in the 7 houses around us, been better this year because next door has a dog and she is doing a very good job. Sparrows back nesting after 2 cat induced barren years :-). Peas doing well, beans too, Brassicas potted on, courgettes coming on, fruit trees smashed by late frosts and cold rain. |

Hate domestic cats. Utter arseholes. They don't even eat the things they kill on account of being full of whiskas kittymeat. Just as bad as the bastard foxes.

Love my cat but she isn't allowed out unsupervised at this time of year!

I'm not a cat fan. One I haven't come across before walked into my lounge through the open door last evening - it didn't stay long...

Fragile Do Not Bend
I’ll hold my hands up to having a feline killing machine, despite having a dodgy shoulder he’s catches plenty of rabbits and rodents. Mostly he eats them. Thankfully he rarely gets birds. But he’s the only cat in a fairly big area (we are surrounded by fields) so his impact on the wildlife population isn’t that big really, anyway better him being here than in an urban area. |
