LOL at 3M. It's always the way.

Had some seeds arrive by post this morning from the Organic Gardening association. Can't do anything with any of them yet.

Fizz :-)
I don’t do proper rotation, but do at least try not to plant the same things in the same place each year.

Aye Columba, it’s the “middle of Lidl” syndrome. I’ve saved a fortune this past 12 months! :)

Thanks Flatlander (sorry, only just checked the thread). Anyone got any advice on growing garlic please?

We grew garlic years ago. As I recall it was really easy - just like onions. Might give that another go this year.

Nearly finished digging over the bean patch ready for cabbage, PSB and sprouts this year. Ground was more frozen today than it was a couple of days ago, but the air was a bit warmer. Only managed an hour before my hands were itching though.

Still some sprouts, a couple of parsnips and leaks, and some chard in the garden - but heading into the hungry gap now!

Used to be - plant garlic on the shortest day and harvest on the longest - I forgot! I do have a couple of bulbs of supermarket organic garlic, I shall try to remember to plant some this week
