Best of luck Gromit Quick question - what's the terrain like north of Horton-in-Ribblesdale on the Pennine Way? I'm looking at the Yorkshire Three Peaks Ultra in October, which starts in Hawes, over Dodds Fell, round the Y3P and back to Hawes. The only race report I can find suggests it's 'boggy' - but that's very much in the eye of the beholder... |

Depends on the weather oumaumau - currently it’ll be dry and dusty. In October parts of the route (I guess, I don’t know the route details) might well be wet

Thanks DT. The site describes it as 'classic yorkshire three peaks and historic Cam Road trail/Penine Way'. It's run by the folks who do the safety for the Spine, so I'm assuming they know what they're doing ;).

For a fell runner it’s sounds very runnable and ‘traily’. I’m not a fan of the Three Peaks but then I lived in Wharfedale for 13 years and am biased

Oumaumau that's the only section I haven't run as I've been assured navigation is pretty straight forward from Horton to my finish line at Hardraw 👍

It’s about as simple as you get basically following a typical walled ‘Dales green lane’ iirc. The LDWA Yoredale 100 went that way in the dark in my case
