I agree with Kazz - I wouldn't do a mara if you couldn't defer or transfer

Even still, seems a awful lot to me.
Race fees are going through the roof!

Ultra Kazzaaaaah!!
Tbf I didn't know I wasn't going to run until Sunday so couldn't have deferred anyway. Just a bit frustrating having lost a lot of money in the past year on races that I've not been able to run for one reason or another. Such is life though

I thought you still had to pay for races even if you do defer, and pay up the next year too you just get a guarenteed entry?

I've never defered so didn't know for sure, but just remembver seeing a thing about being able to defer for Brighton but thought it was silly idea because you could just get in next year anyway, it's not like the London ballot.

I have, however, had many DNS's due to being too hungover to race :-/

Yes - my one reservation about MK is that they wouldn't allow people to defer (one person in particular, with a very good and genuine health reason for deferring - I thought their refusal really stank, to be honest), but I just don't think I can afford to do anything further afield, and it does otherwise look like a nice course. I'll have it without the added monsoon next year, though :-O

When do entries open for 2013?

You cant blame Brighton for charging that as they know folks will pay it - demand outstrips supply even at that price.

I can get 2 high quality races for that price - MK & London if prices remain the same will be a combined £62 & you could get 3 Enigmas & still have enough for a pint for £63 ;)

What is with the expo's this year, I've entered Leicester and you've got to collect your number there too!! Brighton is good but not £63 good...

MK was great despite the weather :)
