I don't know the route, tipsku - I'm running this for the first time, just going by what it says on the website, so don't blame me if there is a sneaky hill thrown in!

MK marathoners, how is the training going?

I've just missed nearly a week due to tonsillitis however I'm through it now and back on track

I'm hope that my recent running will set me up nicely for MK (no expectations of a PB but a comfortable run would be nice).

I'm expecting to PB at MK....despite my lost week I've banked some good training and am feeling like I can sustain sub 8's without too much trouble. Indeed I ran a very strong long run yesterday and despite the work, my legs feel pretty good today.

I had a cold last week but I'm back on track now. Missed a long run because of this but I won't get stressed because of it. Had 6 weeks of really good training before that so 5 days off will not cost me much. I'm running an easy run with a colleague today before I try MP again tomorrow.

nice one...I tend to operate best on a two week taper, three weeks is just too long for me mentally. Will be going into full taper after Sunday's long run...

I was thinking the same, especially because I already had an easy week last week so I will have recovered some from the training before that. I'll try to get a final longish run in this week, maybe not 20 but 16-18 with a part at MP should be good. Have a good one on Sunday.

I'm looking forward to MK but not expecting a PB. Persistent foot injury plus a mid-week biking tour the week before that will most likely entail too much beer and pub food. #excuses_in_early

looking forward to starting my taper on Monday...one last weekend of training hard, then the volume drops and we shift the focus on arriving at MK refreshed and ready to run. =D
