Mine's a 310XT, Ceratonia, it's got one of those clip things which provide the connection with the power, so it would prove a clumsy option, but would be workable. How long would I need to strap it to my wrist for?

You would probably only need to top it up rather than go for the full charge. I haven't used it with my 310XT yet but I'm guessing it will be about the same as for the 610. It does seem clumsy at first and is a bit of a faff to put on/take off at CPs but was comfortable to wear and running with the charger in my hand wasn't a hassle. If you make sure there are new batteries in the charger... In SDW50 I wore it for 7 miles in total and that gave me plenty of charge to get me to the end. I could have taken it off sooner but didn't want to stop other than at a CP. Of course, we could both just buy a regular watch that has loads of staying power What 100 miler do you have your eye on? |

When I've used an extra charger before, I just stuck it in my pack for an hour or two (watch and charger) then put it back on at the next CP. Didn't like the idea of tensing my hand with something in it for any amount of time.

That also makes sense. In fact that makes more sense Especially as you don't get a read out of anything other than the fact that it is charging. |

I won't pretend that people haven't shown their concern that I've chosen such a difficult one.

DeeGee - people told me I should do an 'easier' one if I was aiming for a sub24. But for me the NDW100 was the best choice.
