Yeah, but Matt's food was weird AND delicious. He cooked spider crab thermidor with random stuff he'd found, and they didn't even mention how weird it was - just how lush it was. You could see the judges were almost in tears.

yep FD - and he managed to master the presentation thing too. The wabbit starter was almost art on a plate - them like that stuff on there they do

Agree. Andy didn't get his presentation right for me. That duck course looked a bit splatty.

Just watched again on iPlayer, and Andy was really practising his winner's face before they took it away from him!!! Really pleased for Mat though :-)

Last night definitely provided the series highlight (yes, even better than the lamb and watermelon);)

The look on Andy's face when he realised he hadn't won - priceless.

Followed by a massive sulk while Mat and Chris were doing semi-manhugs - love it:)

The sundae thing in glass was terribly presented. You knew the game was uo when the judges were trying to scoop it out.

The only thing that really, REALLY had me salivating was the lovely slab of roast pork belly that was carted for being undercooked.

I was surprised at their criticism of the pork too.
My mum used to cook belly of pork when we were kids and she never cooked it for hours and hours, but it was always lovely:)

You can't make it as lovely as it should be in 2 hours.
