Morning all It’s cold it’s wet it’s a bit breezy. It’s the 2nd last Saturday in November in cleethorpes so I had best get the 26.7 miles done as quick as possible 😁 |

Thanks for another great event @DeeGee Yesterday was a bad day at the office. Started off fine for 13/14 miles then pace started to drift off. At around 18 miles the left knee started to feel stiff and my form altered with occasional tightness to right hamstring. Weather was ok for first 2 1/2 hours then got colder and wetter. Last few miles I more or less ran at an easy pace. Managed to be late for the start and set off 2-3 mins after everyone else so ran the race solo. Overtaking a few and got overtaken by the winner of the half marathon and some of the relay runners. Pleased to have finished (first marathon I have finished since April 23). Time for marathon 3:33:09 with the maravan coming in at 3:37:04. When I got back to the van it was never again by the time we were walking Bobbie in the evening I was talking about the Marabank in March. I think the gels don’t work for me so going back to granola bars and jelly babies. See you at the Marabank |
