Morning gang, hope everyone got home safely. Saturday was the best day I've had in 7 years of Maravans. Everything slotted together perfectly. Yesterday was a little different, but actually, if you weren't too involved in the event set-up and take down, both being the occasions when it hammered it down a bit too freely, it was nice, but a bit chilly. Several beautiful rainbows over the Humber, including a double one towards the end.

It was an absolute delight to see everyone, and I'm not too scarred by the experience, so, park willing, it'll be back in exactly the same format, next year.

I've rather missed the "Now finishing..." shout at the end, something I directly nicked from Foxy of this parish, but I've had the pleasure of congratulating almost every person who crossed the line personally (missed one or two due to "Personal Needs Breaks") and I've had nothing but positive feedback. So that makes it all worthwhile.

I might open entries for next year when I return from Lanzarote in a fortnight.

I can't physically describe this event's uniqueness, quirkiness and friendliness to anyone who hasn't done it before, ("Yeah, so it's about 50 people a day, laps of a caravan park, Cleethorpes in November, and you don't ever see the sea"), so if you enjoyed yourself, please, please share it with everyone who you think might be interested, 72 runners is my hard limit, but it's nicer to have the event fill up before I have t order medals - I've got a race's worth left, so I'll have to ribbon them up again for next year.

I'm in for the full on Sunday but it all depends how my marathon next weekend goes. I haven't ran for over a month due to injury so who knows what the future holds!

Thanks riggys99, it's medoc on Saturday so if any marathon is going to be limped around, then Medoc has to be the one!
