I have gone backwards to improve, did 3 x 12 day before yesterday and 3 x 13 yesterday. Think I might be getting injured though - I have pain in my right kneecap area, worse with press ups, will see how it goes. Personal mission to get to 3 x 25 is still on though, just have to be careful!

amazing progress everyone, especially the people (like me) for whom more than a few push ups is a step into the unknown.

Well done everyone. 3 x14 this morning. 3rd set very hard. Is that due to club run last night.....or have I reached the hard stage now?

3 x 3 'manly' ones for me - as opposed to easier 'girly' ones.

Seems to be improvements all round - well done all.

3 x 40 this morning. It's getting tough now. Will look at 3 x 50 as the goal and see what happens from there.

Keep up the good work

About This Thread

Maintained by Dogtanian
Start on day 1 with 3 x 1 press up. On day 2 move to 3 x 2 and keep increasing by one every day. If you fail to do the target for the day then you try the same number the next day, only increasing when you have done the session properly. The Marathon talk challenge is to get to 3 x 100 push ups.

There are no real rules except all three sets must be done in the same session though. No going to wash your hair/walk the dog in-between sets:-).
