Sushi.
Oooh. Another thought is a Fetch relay team or 2

There's a 4 split and a 2 split option.

I did the two person relay in 2014. It was the old course and I foolishly chose the boring second half through Carrington and Urmston. Enjoyed it though and my much speedier partner got us a decent overall time.

I did the first leg of the four person relay in 2017(?) for a work team, and then continued on to run the full distance on my own place, and enjoyed the relay leg (and subsequently running through the field after the handover).

In previous years the relay teams started after all the marathon runners have started, however, this year it seemed it was a free for all for teams to decide when they wanted to start (and/or there was little information from the organisers in the build-up, from what I saw on social media).

Of course, if the Metrolink drivers' strike had gone ahead as planned, the logistics of the Relay would have been an absolute nightmare.

Ah OK. Was just a thought if anyone fancied a Fetch team.

I did the marathon yesterday. the organisation was good and the support on the course was amazing
Dont think I would do it again though - city marathons probably not my thing and it was such a long day with walking, trams, the drive home - exhausting!

I'm in! Just did a 15k jog, turns out that's my longest run for a year. But I've been doing a lot of cycling so am basically fit even if my quads don't feel too great right now. Pre-training has started!

Rog T
Not entered yet but have refundable accommodation booked. Been a bit off for a month or so now (so autumn mara plans binned), will see how I am by mid December and make a commitment then - unless I see that they are likely to sell out before that.

Highly unlikely Rog. All that happens is the price goes up and up!

Sushi.
I entered Shakespere at the weekend.

Was pleasantly surprised at the price.
