Hi all,

Anyone got any advice on training for this event. Looked online and there is nothing. 22 miles of hills, rivers, forest etc. 5 marathons down but never run anything like this before.

Agree - you should assume that the horses are going to overtake you at some point and just enjoy the whole experience. As for training, plenty of long cross-country runs?

By all accounts it's like training for a hilly off road marathon if you want to do the whole thing. I've only done it as a relay (but have done all 3 parts) and it's a super event. Expect horses, hills, mud, river crossings and sandwiches made by the local ladies group at the finish :)

Welcome to Fetch Tat :-)

Question for Special*K , I may be doing the relay with 2 friends, I don't fancy the last section, can you tell me your order of preference of sections and why?
