There was one pack of macaroni in the pasta aisle in Tesco this morning. I nearly felt sorry enough for it to buy it but we don't need any. I doubt it's still there now.

Luckily the IoW is behind the times because I managed to buy a 9-pack of loo roll in the Coop! Not that much there as most of the 4-packs had gone. Plenty of eggs and flour though so I bought some in case of emergency pancakes being required over the school holidays.

I despair at what we have become. Poor lass on the checkout in Tesco was in tears. They are limiting tins to 5 - a total of 5 tins regardless of what it is. The couple in front were buying what looked like a normal weekly shop but it included more than 5 tins. They weren’t mean or anything but the lass was obviously feeling the pressure.
I wanted bread flour and yeast but there was none. UHT milk was my only real ‘panic’, or as I like to say preparation, item and there was none.
If everyone just calmed the fuck down and bought a couple of weeks worth of food we’d probably all be fine.

We "stocked up" a few days ago. And by stocked up, I mean bought 2 loaves of bread for the freezer and 2 two cartons of uht milk.
Everything else we have just kept at normal levels. However I may buy several packs of bourbons at my next opportunity as they seem to be running low everywhere.

I’d rather drink no milk than UHT! Anyway, I’ve had a milkman for 20 years and if he stops delivering then things would be dire indeed.
I wonder how much flour will end up unused and thrown out with weevils in? There has been plenty of fresh food in every supermarket I’ve been into, are people expecting their fridges to suddenly stop working or something?

The meat section was pretty empty in ours Fleecy. TBH I can’t stand UHT but I thought it might be worth having something.

We keep our milk in the freezer. I did concede to buying two extra pints and a spare loaf of bread.
