Nice one Tim.

Are you happy with your split approach?

Would you do it the same way next time?

Thanks guys!

There will be no full-marathon "next time", as I don't think that it would be fair on my lovely wife lol.

But it is an approach that I'll use for half-marathons.

Well done - terrific thread - why don't we just give Canute a monthly fetch article and be done with it, because what he has to say is always of great interest? I'm ploughing through the new book "running science" by Owen Anderson and that's very interesting and contentious also.

Must admit I welcome Paul a's take no prisoners comments, too often people are fluffy and nice and say "I'm sure you'll smash your pb" when often I myself know I won't, and if it proves motivational to show him he's wrong - then doesn't that make him right in a way anyway? :-)

Congratulations. That is really great news.

(Chrisull, I think I might be blushing, but thanks for the comment.)
