Hills of Death (HOD)
Ok so I have a 10k on Sunday it's Standalone I've done it for the last 4 years I have OCD I have to do it again this year. I aint too worried about the time but I don't want to jog round.

The only problem is I NEED to do my last LSR for Snowdon it was going to be Sunday but because of family illness I needed to be somewhere so question is do I try to do it in dark on Friday have day off Sat or just bite the bullet on do it Sat morning ???

Oddly I've done some quite good paced short races the day after an LSR (as you know my LSRs have an emphasis on slow)

I've also got up at stupid times (e.g. run 20 miles before 10.00am) in order to have the rest of the day free. I've sometimes run to a parkrun, jogged parkrun and run back home or to transport to give me an incentive to get up.

I'd get up early Sat and do it, or just sod the OCD bin the 10K and get up early Sunday so you'd have as much time as if you'd run the 10K anyway.

Either way I'm thinking you probably need to make that LSR happen first and foremost, great as I'm sure Standalone is it's probably not going to help you much over 26.2 miles at Snowdonia

I'm still suffering from Austria but I have managed to do one 21 (Dunstable) and one 16.5 (Round norfolk Relay) since then but one more long run will help with endurance.

When is Snowdon? Can you slot a LSR in tonight or tomorrow before the 10k @ weekend? Enjoy the sunshine / sunset
