If I do need to run a time on the 4th to keep my GFA place then I could be tempted by that event, but any chance of having a pace group working together would be ruined by the time trial format if setting people of individually.

I read this bit LMH and thought that there's still a chance that some groups could form quite easily. Yes, some distance on the start-line but not so much to prevent all grouping shortly thereafter? I guess it's all a learning game for a while.... This is the bit I meant: 'The start line will be similar to a Formula 1 starting grid with athletes being kept socially distanced on the start line and starting in small waves' |

How many laps of the lake solo? I suppose better than a treadmill (though...you can watch tv on a treadmill).

Has anyone seen details of the Elite races. I would quite like to watch those live, and so knowing when they will be is a factor on whether or not I enter the virtual race. I wouldnt want to be up at silly o'clock or running later in the day.

LMH - yes, sorry, the 'No Image' thing obviously threw me. 5k one lap of the lake JDA. Totally flat, not a single tree to create shade or a windbreak. On the right day it's a very fast course, on the wrong day it's a horror show! |

Spaced out by a few meters on a grid would be good if all going for a time, missed that bit from the website. I'm still hoping that my VMLM 2019 time will count and I can instead just watch the TV coverage before going out for a relaxed 26.2 long run later in the day to earn a tshirt.

I did a marathon at Dorney a couple of years ago but with a different organiser. 10 times up and down this course away from the actual lake. I actually enjoyed it more than I thought. Just used it to achieve a GFA (which was then taken away when they changed the rules). fetcheveryone.com/races/dorney-lake-marathon-2015924 |
