Will do! I'll have a tracker full of Fetchies. You never know, he could still have a tough race and you could be cruising past him at mile 25!

I'm doing my second VMLM this year. Last year was my first marathon and I made so many mistakes in the training I'm slow anyway so was hoping for between 5:30 and 6 hours, but due to various factors I ended up crawling round in 7:13ish and so was one of the 7hr plus runners who got a pity place for 2020 due to all the problems experienced at the back of the pack last year!
Hugely, hugely grateful to have been given another chance, and training is going much better this year. I'm still really nervous though!

7:13 of struggle doesn't sound like a fun day out! Good luck with this year's race going more the way you want it to! Good luck!!

Hi Sparkle, I'm a back of the pack runner and although I've run a reasonable number of long distance events I would be very interested to hear your VLM wisdom - did you blog?

Sparkle, VLM was my first marathon and I made so many mistakes, walked from 19 miles and came in an hour later than planned. I've done others since and none have been as terrible. I hope you have a great race
