Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

How are we today?
My legs feel good apart from where I obviously was not placing blistered foot down properly
Today's main ouch is my back from carrying rucksack!

Legs are still not liking going forwards down stairs and a bit of minor chafing in a few places.

New "injury" I've not had before from a marathon is a sore nose. It's caused by wiping rain from my face with sopping wet gloves for 3 hours. :)

Any little thing you do a bit less than perfectly with your feet will show up during a marathon. It’s a bloody long way! I feel pretty ok today. Rather surprisingly a short walk yesterday morning cured all the stiffness and aches in my lower back and hips. I’ve been ok since then.

Hips still a bit sore. I’m thinking of going for a walk in a bit but I’m not sure if that will be a good or bad thing for them.

I consider myself v lucky and appear unscathed from Sunday. Although today is the dreaded second day but so far so good. Did an hours walk yesterday without issue. But will have a week off until a little run out. Trainers might have dried out by then. :-) Will wait for Mr Postie to deliver medal now. The Virtual seemed to work out OK for most people so well done to all concerned.

Legs still sore but improved from yesterday. I went to the gym at teatime and did a gentle 45 mins on the cross trainer which helped. Also a bit of painful rollering. Will repeat both today.

I'm looking forward to the medal in the post too Rascal :-) My OH is a postie so he should bring mine home (our own postie just gives him any parcels for our house to save him a job :-) )

I haven’t slept well last two nights. Main muscles aren’t too bad it’s the supporting ones one the sides etc. Core S&C stuff!

My post-marathon odds and ends from yesterday are settling. I just did some walking yesterday and will walk or cycle this morning and do my first run tomorrow.
