Yeah all those unsuccessful in the ballot may be offered a virtual place.

Buggered More undulating than it felt on the bike! Blisters at 11m and struggled until the big on burst 😂 Somehow managed to keep running in every mile but as soon as the garmin said done I could barely walk! Had originally planned a stroll across the field to finish but feet so sore I opted to keep running and get husband to pick me up less than a mile from home 🤣 Better be a good medal and tee! |

@Totriornottotri Holy cow! So my 24 files won't cut it!? That goes against all previous statements 9splitting distance fine, back-up device fine). I can probably work out a concatenation, but that might look doctored. Any tips anyone?

DS - unless you can do it on here (and I think it's a feature request that's still open ???) then you need gotoes gotoes.org to link runs together as one file

I spoke about this during my run today, I’d be staggered if they don’t open it up to all in the future who don’t get in via the ballot. It’s a massive revenue opportunity for very little outlay.

The app was a joke! Mine decided to end my run at 21.75 miles - I didn't notice until I nearly finished, a friend's app said he'd only done 14 when he'd done the whole thing. Never mind, it is done. We set out at about 4.30am for a very wet and windy run around London. Not fast, but we stopped lots to check which way we were going and to see if we could fathom who had the most accurate distance, our gamins or the app (Husbando and I both started out with the app and they both read different distances to each other and to our watches!). |

Fortunately I didn’t have any issues with the app, it was ahead of my Garmin the whole way and got to 26.2 when my Garmin said 25.9 miles. I was running with 3 other people and our apps all finished in different places, there was nearly half a mile difference between two of them.

I nearly missed the button to start the run though, it was off the bottom of the screen and had to scroll down to find it.

@daddy shark as long as the overall time isn't suspiciously fast I'm not sure they will check it. I uploaded a file from the orange site with mine and got the text through confirming the finish time fairly shortly after. My Garmin distance was actually further than 26.2 and it used the total distance and time rather than adjusting the time down to account for it, so it looks like it's all automated

Daddy shark - try going in the app and check upload files option. It may let you add multiples. The splitting they highlighted pausing the app between sessions as it’s total time including breaks that they count - ie start at 6am and run 2 miles in 10 minutes every hour your time is 13hrs not 2:10. The app is crap - I just reinstalled as it’s not showing my result but go on the results page online and I have the correct time.
