We have 430 members so well above the 350 requirement for 4 places. I know it says 12 December for the last date to hear but I think I'll send a polite enquiry!

I've ever known anything quite so terrible, our club had 2 places allocated and two of the most deserved recipients, both set to run their first marathon in London for one of them to be told "sorry, you don't actually have a place" Simply not fair and cant imagine how our club chairperson felt having to tell them.
I've worked really hard to get GFA for the last 3 years but really wish I could give it away right now.

Has anyone had their club places confirmed yet for 2019? I applied for ours on 5th November, as soon as we were allowed. Last year it was December before it was all confirmed!
In this age of the internet I really don't understand why it takes so long to check a club's membership status. They know people will need to book hotels etc and the later they leave it the costlier it can get.

I'm sure I overheard that my second claim club (with approx 250 members) only had one place this year (2019). Don't hold me to that though I might have misheard.

My second claim club is having the draw for the club place(s) tonight so I will know by tomorrow how many places they have for number of members.

We received an email back saying we had insufficient numbers. I definitely counted 10 on our EA portal, so we're going to have to find out why there's apparently a difference.

Woohoo, despite out club only having fewer than 10 adult members, just been notified that we were one of the successful 20 clubs in the small club ballot so for the first time in a while our club will have a spot.
Wonder who the other 19 clubs were?

My first experience administering the club entries system at our club - on the one hand I'm impressed at the online system which works and seems comprehensive. on the other hand, with max club entries of just a handful, the system seems like overkill.
Presumably once an individual is showing as "complete" the club console doesn't need to be used any more?
