With regard to GFA times...is the age based on the date you run your qualifying time or the date of the London Marathon?

E.G. if someone is 69 now but will be 70 by the time the London Marathon 2013 is on, do they need to run the 65-69 time or the over 70 time?..its a big difference..65-69 is sub 4hours, over 70 is sub 5 hours.

Thanks

Just spoken to London Marathon peeps, and apparently it is based on your age on the London Marathon race day, not your age on the date you run your qualifying time....so you can run the GFA time for the age group one year ahead of your actual age.

LOL....for my dad! He has returned to running and fancies a crack at London 2013 over 70s.

Got something to say?
