I looked at fort augustus etc but getting back there from inverness afterwards was too tricky for my travel arrangements. You shd be able to get somwhere central-ish without too much cost hopefully. Others will have suggestions but travel lodge etc. should be reasonable...?

Thanks. Yeah. With a bit more research, getting to/from Augustus too difficult. Had a good look online last night and managed to book a cancellable B&B that isn't extortionate. Bit dated but central. Just have to decide if should definitely do marathon! |

it was my 1st one. Lots of rolling terrain but has a really good friendly atmosphere; I'm still undecided on doing it again this year...

I did VLM in April (my first marathon). Nice & flat. So Loch Ness would be rather harder!

yeah - it's not brutally hilly (in my opinion anyway), there's actually a fair bit of downhill and one big drag at 18 miles or so but it's all do-able

All very doable Kim.... Not sure if it's PB-able after London, but less crowded, net downhill first half, and a very good solid training base so I think you'll be great. Mind n stay the Sunday night as the JSHH girls go out on the town!!! |

Definitely wouldn't be looking at a PB due to course. I'm staying the Saturday night! 🍷🍕🍷 |

I tried to get a B&B booked in April, but it was very hard to find one with a room. For other reasons I can't do it this year though.
