Since Night-owl started the main thread: Read A Book For Every Year Of Your Life, I've also been doing this: an album from those years as well.

Thing is, it's not a huge commitment as lots of music is freely enough available, either through a streaming service like Spotify or simply on YouTube. There are plenty of 'Whole Album' audio-only entries on YouTube as well.

I realise it might just be me, but hey-ho. :-)

FWIW, here are my pre-picked album choices for my first ten years:

1962 – Bob Dylan - Bob Dylan
1963 - The Miracles Doin Mickey’s Monkey

1964 - Dusty Springfield - A Girl Called Dusty
1965 - Them - The Angry Young Them
1966 - Wilson Pickett - The Exciting Wilson Pickett
1967 - Moby Grape - Moby Grape
1968 - Dr John - Gris Gris
1969 - King Crimson - In the Court of the Crimson King
1970 - Fleetwood Mac - Kiln House
1971 - The Isley Brothers - Givin' It Back

THis is a cunning way to find out how bastard old we all are. Avoid.

;-)

Album of the year while you've been actively interested in music would be better....

I've grown out of such age-related modesty. ;)

Actually, my idea with those 60s albums was to listen to stuff I would otherwise never have done. For 62 I did originally try Miles Davies but I found there's no excuse for jazz. None.
