Hilly twinskins for me too, and I bung 'em in the tumble dryer if I forget to retrieve them from the rest of the load. Doesn't seem to make any difference to them.

Got a pair of Hilly Twin, Thorlo's and Wrightsocks for just over £20 delivered from Runners Need (thanks to another Fetchie!) So should keep me going for ages.

Thanks guys :-)

Because you are all dying to know, the socks have all been good. The Wrightsocks feel too comfortable though. I put them on and don't want to go out running :-)

Just boinging this thread to ask about thin socks and if anyone has any recommendations. I was running yesterday in my usual socks (probably a cheap JB pair which I've had for yonks) and my feet suddenly started to feel numb (oxymoron?) and as if they had swollen to twice their normal size. I tried adjusting my laces but in the end had to take the socks off and run home without any on. Needless to say, I have a nice blister on the back of my heel but apart from that it was quite comfortable. So I am looking to buy some nice thin socks which would feel like running with none on - any suggestions?

As expensive as they are, X-Socks are the only socks I've bought that don't shrink or get holes in them in about 3 months. A pair of X-Socks last me years, which means they're better value than all the cheaper ones I've had.

Note: Above is a PERSONAL recommendation based on MY OWN EXPERIENCE.

More Miles - inexpensive, last, good fit (small shoe size range within in sock size), no in use creasing/bunching.
£3.95 a pair http://www.startfitness.co.uk/product.asp?strParents=4070,4072&CAT_ID=4570&P_ID=37639

I've since added some More Miles to my collection and they are indeed great. Not sure if they will be thin enough for you though Minardi.

My Hilly Twins from June have given up the ghost. Thorlo's and Wrightsocks doing just fine though, a year on.

X socks for me. I have run 000's of miles in them ( not the same pair) and never had a blister.. I once wore another brand in a marathon and got a blister.
