Froome would have won 2013 without the TT surely (I haven't done the maths)? He was certainly the strongest climber in the first two weeks.

The TT helps him, but at his best he can compete with Quintana and Contador in the mountains.

Just seen the cobbles list, St Python to Viesly with 5.2k of cobbles within just 7,5 k section and then 2.3k of new cobbles with just 12k to go until the finish.
The St Python/Viesly section(s) is a regular in P-R but is among the earliest sections, usually just after Troisvilles as they head north but I've never been there as I always go to Troisvilles and you can get away from T easier, may have to recce that southwardson the Friday before P-R. It is usually a 3 star section and iirc from the videos is pretty much straight but up and down a bit.
Will try and get the last section details but that eastern area from Cambrai is a mass of farm roads and as I see from Google earth there are 2 or 3 possible pave sections to use as the last section. Another bit to recce. I have the IGN maps fortunately.

As if his presence was in any doubt in 2015, Froome has now confirmed that the Tour WILL be his priority next year. Who da thunk it lol

So did he change his mind, did the team make the decision for him, or was it all just marketing hype?

I think Froome was just venting as he was disappointed with the lack of TT miles in next year's Tour.

Reality was there wasn't much danger of him not doing it.

But he had Valverde in his team, a Spanish team at that.

Secondly, Sky's philosophy is different from Movistar.

Report on the Yorkshire Grand Depart weekend. A bit pointless really as we already knew all this!

I have set up a Fantasy Cycling league , called the Fetcheveryone Fantasy Cycling League. The number code is 75599. To join you need to go to fantasy.road.cc and register. It is free for up to 8 competitions, so if you just wanted to do the 3 grand tours, spring and autumn classics and world champs there is no need to go premium. However for £10 you get a year's worth of competitions, probably nearly 100, should you wish to do them continually throughout the year.

If you haven't tried Fantasy Cycling before then you really should, it is far more interesting than football or cricket Fantasy games.

I have made it a public league so anyone can join and i don't have to approve you.

if it becomes full of non-fetchies we can open another private league.
