That was fun. Can't believe how great the weather was. It felt tougher than Cartmel but I did race a couple of days before so that have been something to do with it.

It's a tougher course than Cartmel as well - either up or down and three big climbs. That might have something to do with it too ;-)

Harder than Coniston, but a good route and some really fun rocky descending (must get back there on the MTB). 1hr3 is a very quick time for the winner, 6m10 per mile ish :-o ,impressive.

I've done this a few time but can never remember the route. Anyone uploaded it to fetch routes?

Yep - another cracking day out. Have to say that, based on what I saw of it walking to & from my marshalling point, the 10k route looked really good too - may just have to go over there and run that at some point. Not quite sure how the weather managed, alternately, to be both a little on the warm side and characterised by a cold wind.

redeaston (I think it was you) - thanks for the 'Go on Fetchie' (or similar) as I was finishing. Sorry I caouldn't find you afterwards to say hello.

Finally, nit quite sure whether I should be happy with the result - I ran deliberately conservatively for the first half and finished less than a minute behind my previous course best. If I'd known it was going to be that close, I may have put some effort into it :)

I'm really pleased with my run - probably the best I've felt of all the Lakeland trails I've done so far. Got a small course best, although the old time was from when it started in the village and the new route is longer I think.
