Doing Cartmel in April this year
Missed out last year on doing any so looking forward to the great scenery and seeing familiar faces.
Do people have accomodation plans?

I get the feeling that particular B & B may just be booked out this year.

I think we stayed at Arnside YHA last year. We might be marshalling but it depends on several things. Such as having the day off fr'instance.

Hammie and I were in the Arnside YHA the year before last and it was fine although not necessarily 'handy' for Cartmel, but not much accommodation is. Those camping that year had ice on the inside of their tents! It will be worth it.
I am in all the series (including the marathon, still asking myself why!) and Hammie is doing the three 10k as he is now old enough but not for the longer ones.

Yeah before, we were in Hawkshed YHA and the two YHA are about the same distance from Cartmel. Once had a look at accom in Cartmel and decided we needed more money and a posh hat really.

Planning to drive over from home on the day (Do we have a *smug* icon yet?). For those from further afield, I guess there are numerous B&Bs/Guest houses - as well as a couple of very smart hotels - in Grange Over Sands.
I'll have to get there in decent time because our lad has also entered the 10k events. Expect to have both kids on registration duties throughout the year as before.

I'm sure I started a thread about this ages ago, but I can't find it so perhaps I'm going mad. Talking about mad... a marathon? Round Coniston? My first one? In my first year of teaching? *laughs madly*
And I'll be staying at home for all of them :D
