Had a hangover after drinking a glass and a half of red wine the night before, (lightweight I know), been told not to run for 4 months but hey, this was a Lakeland Trail. Felt ok and really enjoyed gabbing to mass100, Cumbriandy in the first 10 minutes, then I watched them run into the distance. Snorted at DaveA who glided past us after 10 minutes as he picked his way through, he had begun the race at the very back of the field and finished 16th!!!!!! My knee started hurting and I should've stopped, but I was conscious that this could be the last run I do for sometime, it's only pain after all. Finished, despite my gammy knee, and enjoyed a muffin from Andy then watched the prize giving. Hopefully, I will be fit for next spring and look forward to more torture in 2011 - the Lakeland trails, superb.
