I'd rather try the Coniston - Dalemain bit than Keswick - Ambleside, the first half of the hundred. Have thought about contacting organisers with idea of doing as Comrades does and run in alternate directions (though appreciate that, as Dalemain not exactly half way, may be challenge). What do you lot think?

Always catch the first bus out of Keswick to Ambleside and do the route in reverse?

FR - I prefer the first option, although I suspect some of the route would require crampons given how wet it is!
