Great blog by Terry Conway re his preparation and tools for the 100. Thought it might be of interest to those thinking of next the 100 next year.

So good to hear such a common sense approach from a top class runner. Just a bit confused as it is very similar approach to my approach and I didn't manage to finish in sub-22?? ;-)

Very interesting reads. I'll be going back to Terry's website a few times in the next year, I think. Cheers Flanker

I'm hoping to be just under 12 stone, but that will take more effort than the training due to my love of ale :(

Terry makes it sound so simple. Having completed the 50 I am now seriously tempted by the 100 but the training required and very much needed I feel will impact on my family too much :(

I'm back from a week away in the Lakes. I did two runs while I was out there, checking out all of Stage 3 and Stage 1 as far as the top of Walna Scar Road. Boy did I underestimate Stage 1! Much more height gain than I thought.

Stage 1 is possibly the toughest of the lot, and if it came later in the event when you are tired it would be nasty! Stage 3 is quite a nice one :)
